Jane Busby is the founder and director of Accord Family Mediation. Jane came to mediation as an experienced solicitor who specialised in divorce, separation and family law matters. Jane set up Accord in 2005 with the firm belief that family mediation was a better way forward than the adversarial legal system to resolve matters. Jane trained as a mediator with the Family Mediators Association in 1998 and has worked exclusively as a mediator since 2002.
Jane has a calm and friendly approach which helps to put clients at ease whilst firmly helping clients stay on track within the process of mediation to reach a resolution of the issues.
Jane works closely with parents to help them stay focused on the needs of their children and is experienced in consulting directly with children in mediation to give children a voice and help parents work out future arrangements.
Jane is also a divorce and separation coach, offering clients one to one guidance and support to help with the emotional, legal, financial and parenting aspects of separation, as well as life coaching to manage change and achieve life balance.
